Inspection 8 a.m. Insurgents bombarding Spanish. It rained all day. We received orders for outpost duty tomorrow; 150 rounds of ammunition were called in leaving us with only 50. Rumours circulated that McKinley will settle with Spain if we get Cuba and Guam.
