We have had a good shower during the night and everything looks fresh this morning. We are having an extra issue of fresh meat today. We are trading out coffee for tea to the Chinese and our corned beef and roast beef we sell to the merchants at low prices since none of the boys care for corned meats. Company C had guard duty at the prison. Out patients at the general hospital are getting along fine and John Baird expects to be out in a few days. All the boys are sending mail. I have guard duty tonight at the prison. [Frank] Christopher, [Max] Hannan, [James] Baird, [George] Miller, [Homer] Daugherty and [Gilbert] Cuite remain on the sick list.
