This is another hot day we are going trough our regular routine of duty Captain Bierer who has being of duty for about a week is able again to take his Comand wich had being filld by First Liut Ch. Howard this is the first time the Captain has being sick sins our departure from Home we are all sending Mail via Hong Kong Christopher Baird Miller Dougherty and Twist are on the Sick List

Captain [Daniel] Bierer, who has been off duty for about a week, is able again to take his command which had been filled by First Lieutenant Charles Howard. This is the first time the Captain has been sick since our departure from home. We are all sending mail via Hong Kong.
