It is raignen most of the day Co A goes out on Outpostback of the Jail and C has 6 men on Guard we have fresh Meat in the Morning but have Inspection of Arms it is rumored all over the City that the Insurgent are going to enter the City by Forse everything is quiet do Knotts Twist Miler Conn Hagen Frankenbery McMaster are on the sick List

It is raining most of the day. Co. A went out on outpost [in] back of the jail and Co. C has six men on guard. We have fresh meat in the morning but have inspection of arms. It is rumored all over the city that the insurgents are going to enter the city by force. Everything is quiet. [George] Knotts, [David] Twist, [George] Miller, [George] Conn, [Samuel] Hagan, [Joseph] Frankenberry and [Albert] McMaster are on the sick list.
