Went to hospital to see Jim. He has blotches all over face but they will disappear in a few months. Jim will be in quarters in few days. Had Andres skipped [skip) out with $.65 American Company money. All is quiet in regard to natives. I do not believe there will be any fighting. Regulars are on their way here presumably to relieve volunteers. We may be home in a few months.
