The weather is lovely but hot as ever. Everything is quiet around the rebel’s capitol. The 22nd Infantry, who had served as reserve right along, went back to Manila and the 3rd Artillery are policing the city. In the afternoon we received mail from the United States but I only got one from G.F. Companies C and D are on outpost. Major Cuthbertson and several others visited us from Corregidor. I also took a drive out in the country in a captured rig and gathered a few relics.
