This is our fighting day. Went out on outpost at 7 a.m. Had a fine dinner –roasting ears, potatoes, bacon and h. tack.

21st scouting party bro’t in 3 prisoners. On outpost. At dark moved my outpost to advance position and doubled the guard. A few shots kept things interesting. And about 3 a.m…
