Wednesday we came in from OP at daylight and moved camp going into two big houses with mahogany floors glazed windows etc. Thursday we took a bull train for the 12th to Mabalocat [Mabalacat]and hiked back again this forenoon making both trips in a drizzling rain. Captain Cravens was made Q.M. and Captain Griffiths [Griffith] assigned to Co.K. There was heavy fireing to our right for about the 1st 3 miles this morning. (17th at San Antona [San Antonio]) Spent this afternoon cleaning up my gun. It is reported that Summers got a nigger Tuesday night.
