For the last three days the Japanese have been bombing our soldiers near Dinglé and Barotac Nuevo. The enemy says, “they will clean up our ‘bandits’.” That’s what they call the Filipino soldiers.

The Japanese continue to advance while our soldiers must retreat. I have been told by a soldier that the Japanese are machine gunning the mountains, so I am having an air raid shelter made.
