It is eight months today that Coné has been taken prisoner. I wonder how he is and all the prisoners. I have heard there are around 700, including officers.

If it wasn’t for the guerilla warfare, we could get some news, but no one can enter or leave Jaro or Iloilo. The Japanese are now traveling freely on all the main roads in the countryside. It is estimated that there are around 1,000 Japanese soldiers in the town of Sara, north of us.
