Foreign magazines are trying to romanticize the Moro National Liberation Front, to the Phil. Govts prejudice.

I attach the latest copy of the Far Eastern Economic Review which publishes an alleged interview with Abdul Khayr Alonto, former Vice Mayor of Marawi City, son of ex Gov Madki Alonto, my fraternity brother, who was arrested after the Marawi uprising in 1973 (October) and whom I ordered released at the instance of then Gov. Alonto Lucman, the aunt, married to former Cong. Raschid Lucman.

I also attach the Chief of Staff’s report (Gen. Romeo Espino) on the sweep that I ordered in Jolo, and Cotabato at the site where the rebels claim strength.

I have ordered the procurement of short-range surveillance radar sets (CN/PPS-5) from Airborne Instruments Fab.[illegible] , Deer Park New York 11729. I attach the brochure on the instrument.
