The weather is lovely. We are going through regular orders. As usual, everything is reported quiet on the line. The First Sergeant of the Nebraska Regiment was shot dead by one of our guards who called for him to halt and disobeyed and fired with the above results. Excitement is running high. Filipinos are moving out of the city in great numbers and horses also. I worked all day at headquarters. We are still kept busy under arms in our quarters. There are eleven men on the sick list but none seriously.
