Sent with detail to Pasig to wait for cascos with our lockers. The idea was to go out in lake & drop down to Taguig but they were left at mouth of “Smith Run” and at 1 p.m. we started with them and got home, past the bamboos, fish traps and ruins –up the swift stream, Very wet. I telegraphed from Pateros for eight men. The hardest work I’ve done since I joined the Army. Was completely tired out. All my things are O.K. & now have clothes, paper &c.
