Rebels fired on working party across San Cristobal without effect – were quickly silenced by several volleys from K Co. – first excitement for [a] long time. Good weather with occasional slight rains since 17th. Wheaton, Lawton and Mc Arthur doing great work on N. line. Entire R. R. from Manila to Dagupan now in our hands. No mail since last of October & none expected till the 28th. Large mails on 25th and 27th.
