Arrived at Corregidor at 6:00 am, slept several hours after a light breakfast and left by boat for Bataan at 11:45 am, in the middle of an air raid alarm. Only three miles to Bataan, but we didn’t land until about 2350 pm as we had to circle about in the bay because of the air raid alarm. No planes came over, except one of our own which frightened us almost unitless [witless]! After landing, we finally got a truck to take us to Gen. Hospital No 2, where a make-shift hospital was being caused out of the jungle and woods.
