Left Bilbid at 5:30 A.M., although we were gotten up at 2:00 A.M. I had not got to bed till late and was just going to sleep when at midnight I was called to see a sick Japanese. In bed less than 2 hrs, and less than 1 hr. sleep. Hiked to R.R. station and loaded in freight cars. About 90 in our car. Small size car. Left at 6:30 A.M. and rode till noon. Was hottest time I have ever had. Sure did sweat. Was almost more than any of us could stand. Got water
and fruit once along the way. Will stay in concentration camp in Cabanatuan tonight. Filthiest place I have ever seen. No latrines and place has been used by many thousands of prisoners. Flies and maggots terrible. Got much
fruit from Japanese at very high prices. Sleep under building if it rains. Told to cut down our loads as we have a 32 km. hike tomorrow. Much looting.
