Movies were presented by the Japanese at 1930 this date. One antimated [animated] cartoon and the feature picture entitled “Vivacious Lady”, starring James Stewart and Ginger Rogers, were shown. At or about 2100, incident to attempted escape from this prison of PARKER, R, B. , SGT. USMC, and during the aforementioned picture show, a general panic result from action of Japanese guards. The latter used bayonets and strong arm tactics, the purpose of which remains a question. PARKER was apprehended, beaten, and confined. Numerous injuries were sustained by personnel of the camp during the malee [melee]. A muster of Camp personnel revealed that the following named prisoner had actually escaped at or about 3020: CARRINGTON, J.W., CPU, USMC.  Hospital muster secured at 2310. Both of the above named American prisoners were members of the current Cabanatuan draft.
