About Herbert E. Evans

About the author: Herbert E. Evans. Sergeant, K Company, 31st Infantry Regiment, USAFFE. POW in the Philippines in Camp O’Donnell, Cabanatuan, and Los Baños then Nichols Field and Bilibid Prison, Manila. In 1954 he is mentioned as being affiliated with WRFD, Worthington, Ohio. In 1961 and 1962 he was mentioned as the President of People’s Broadcasting of Ohio, with the 1961 issue mentioning that,

Evans, who is the president of the  National Council of YMCA’s, also  served on the official board of several educational institutions.

By 1969, he is mentioned as “retired president of  group broadcaster Nationwide Broadcasting Corp,” and “president of IAAB.”
