About the author: Kiyoshi Kiyosawa February 8,1890 – May 21,1945) Japanese journalist who worked in the United States from 1906 to 198, when he returned to Japan as a business and then foreign affairs journalist. He co-ounded the Japanese Institute for Diplomatic History. In 1941 the Japanese government banned him from speaking in public.
