Left 4.30 A.M. Marcch 16th  for Airis, by row boat, arriving 10 AM. Left Piris 6 A.M. 17th, arriving San Narciso 11 A.M.; left S. Narciso 9 AM 18th, arriving Guinayangan 7.35 PM same date. Distance traveled 54 miles & all by rowing, saw no signs of insurrectos or ladrones. Will leave here 6.30 tomorrow..

Disembarked at Guinayangan at 11 A.M. yesterday having been delayed 24 hours by Kilpatrick's grounding in Ragay Gulf about 10 m. from here at 8 am. the 1st– floated successively 6 PM. Ordered with Co. to Guinayangan, Tayabas Province to relieve Co. of 30th vols. will embark at Batangas on 24th– march from here on 22d. Have been offered and have accepted appointment as Regt’l Coms’y under reorganization act. This will eventually return me to Regt’l Hdqrs.
