Disembarked at Guinayangan at 11 A.M. yesterday having been delayed 24 hours by Kilpatrick’s grounding in Ragay Gulf about 10 m. from here at 8 am. the 1st– floated successively 6 PM. Brought Ball with me, leaving Sgt. O’ Shea and 28 men at Catanauan. Rec’d telegram today directing me to proceed soon as possible to Manila as witness in case of Capt. Eltonhead. Will go soon as boat comes, but none expected for week or ten days. Guinayangan small pueblo in a little nićhe between the mountains and Ragay Gulf.
