0120 One friendly plane took off.

0252 Ft. Frank firing. Heavy artillery fire noted, on front lines. Heard report later that landings had been attempted on both flanks but had been driven off. Considerable activity reported at front.

0400 One friendly plane took off.

0705 – 0720 Two seaplanes and two light bombers attempted rescue of pilot lost day before when plane was shot down in harbor. One of seaplanes was shot down by .50 cal. m.g. fire, and other one landed outside Cochinas point and took off crew of wrecked plane in spite of machine gun fire by Army coast defense unit.

0855 – 1652 Twelve air attacks by groups of 2 – 9 planes on Section Base, Mariveles air field, front lines and reserve positions.
