Today we had our first air raid warning from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and in the afternoon from 4:00 to 5:00. Tonight we shall have our first blackout.

There is always trouble outside and the guerrillas are stopping all food-stuffs from coming into the city. We were fortunate to get half of our rice supply from Barotac before they became so active again.
