28 May 1792

On the 28th I went to Atimonan, a big town surrounded by paling and some baluartes. Its houses are roofed with tiles; its streets not so bad and the main ones paved with stones. They stretch along the seashore between various (undecipherable contracted word) of high mountains copious with trees and dense underbrush. But there are very good pasturelands and the horses bred in them, though small, are reputed to be strong and of excellent gait.
