Co A here today. We now have Co’s D, H, F, I & A at Taguig all in the church. 1 Batt. of 9th U.S.A. at Pateros relieveing Co’s G & L Wn. Some of the 9th killed a couple of poor old humbres [hombres] who were too old to fight and at 10.30 p.m. their patrol outposts got mixed up and shot one of their own men and the firing turned us out all night. While the 9th were out all night & the rain came down in torrents. They are rookies. Only about 350 men who were at San Juan. Just a year ago I donned the blue.
