Friday morning the crowd from the Thomas arrived and a freaky set they are. They are the clubbiest kind of club. At chow both men and women crowd and push for places then when they have succeeded they fall to and eat with their knives. Some of them are rather a bad lot and they may be sent back to the states.
Oh that Ah Gong would bring back our laundry and give us better chow. Observe the futility; of trying to do two things at once but then Ah Gong is worth ten millions and that is how he made his money.
