Inauguration stuff going on from 7 A.M. Blah-blah-blah. Went out to see parade & stood around till 10:30 — then came back to boat. Police balled things up. Slept in P.M. Joe & Mira went to fire-works. I went to B.J.’s for chow (Walthalls, Powells (Navy), Collins) Collins brought me back to boat. Room full of balloons, & one in the jenny. Talked till 12 P.M.
