A truck drove in with Florey and Loddigs who have been in jail for questioning, unheard of for three months, Grey was not with them. They looked well in spite of pallor and they say that thanks to murderers and other prisoners who shared outside chow, they managed to get along.

Late in the evening a high-ranking group of officers came through the barracks. They said it was the best-run camp in the Islands, congratulated Nakamura and asked for the names of the Committee. Does this make the Committee good Nazis? They liked their reception by the mob, said we were so clean and courteous. Clean and courteous, after all these months.
