Corregidor finally surrendered today. The surrender was supposed to take place yesterday, but due to some misunderstanding, they kept fighting until today.
The hospital was in a bad position during the seige of Corregidor. Many shells and pieces of shrapnel from Corregidor’s guns landed in hospital, killing several and wounding many others. Our food during this period consisted only of second-grade rice.
