Aboard sailing sloop “Maring’. Patron and I left Nueva Valencia and anchored in a snug cove in Igang Bay to obtain firewood, stow everything and overhaul running rigging. I expect this to take another two days at the end of which will drop Patron ashore. The hoped for seems so far to have been accomplished. Am in excellent health, full of determination and good spirits. At Nueva Valencia I acted the trader and believe I aroused no suspicions, although people wondered why I took on so much water.
