La nuit , nous eümes peu de‘vent & beaucoup moins de courans. Le 36 novenmibre , nous continuâmes notre routé en suivant le mi-canal entre l’ik dé Ticao & Luçon. Je remarquai eñ doubiant la tête du nord de Ticao l’établissément de Coleritas., -qui me parut considérable. L’église de cette peuplade se fait sur-tout remarquer. Dans tôute cette route, nous ne trouvâmes pas dé sond à 100 brasles + nous lasâmes ‘au nord sur l’ile de Luçon le beau port-de Solsogou , dont l’ile de Bagatao forme l’entrée. Dés que nous eùmes-doublé les petites iles qui sont au-nord de ,Ticao, nous simes route fur la pointe $. E. de l’ile Bourias ;’ que ‘nous. rangeâmes àune lieue, laislant au sud , à la distänce d’environ deux lieues la pointe septentrionale de l’île Mäsbate, qui est trois sois. plus grande. ‘.
During the night we had little wind and less current. On the 30th November we continued our journey up the mid channel between the Island of Ticao and Luzon. In passing the head of the north of Ticao I noticed the settlement of Colentas, which appeared to be tolerably large. The church was especially striking. Throughout this journey we did not find bottom at one hundred fathoms, and we passed, on the north of the Island of Luzon, the beautiful port Sol-Sogou, of which the Island of Bagatao forms the entrance. As soon as we had passed the little islands at the N. of Ticao, we made for the S. E. point of the Island of Bourias, which we coasted for a league, leaving the northern point of Masbate Island, which is three times as big, about two leagues to the south.
