0817 Air raid alarm sounded — no planes sighted. Radio reported later that planes had headed toward OLONGAPO.

1210 Air raid alarm sounded. Eighteen heavy bombers arrived within a few minutes from northward, flying in two waves at about 15,000 feet. Bombs dropped in direction of Nichols Field. About the same time 3 light bombers made shallow diving attacks on same target, and were later joined by 6 others. No friendly plane activity and very little Army A.A. fire was noted.
