February 27, 1943

Yesterday our foreman from the farm came and brought us a copy of the Manila Tribune. An article mentioned the release of 122 Filipino prisoners, and Coné’s name was on the list! I was somewhat confused, as some people said that they had seen him in Iloilo, and this list was for prisoners in Manila.

The days are quiet, and we are enjoying the calm. No planes fly over now, and when they do we do not feel so frightened.
