Left Datu Inkal’s at 7 a.m. Continued through jungle and over rolling country to an elevation of 580 meters where the trail goes through the pass. Halted and made camp beside a small stream. Rainy weather and leeches made traveling very disagreeable. The feet of the cargadores were bleeding freely, but they did not seem to mind it.
