On the 28th of April at 11 ‘clock in the evening, I said farewell to a regiment of friends, the town and to Jolo. A number of us sailed on the steamboat Warren towards Manila. The steamboat also carried the bodies of Lieutenant Rodney and Sergeant Ferguson.
