Moved to Pasay Elementary School, known as the Japanese Accommodating Place. Over three hundred present with one hundred sick with Malaria, Dengue and Beri Beri. Quite a skid from Scholastica with open kitchen, two toilets and one shower. Corpsmen doing the cooking over pits In the ground. Same food three times per day, namely soup and rice. Very bad if couldn’t get other food purchased from the outside. All sleeping on the floor, but captains were allowed beds for the present. Weird crowd with beards, etc.
