Nothing of interest occurred Xmas day. Left Calamba 11 a.m. Dec. 26th reached Manila 7 P.M., orders having been received just before embarking to proceed to Pasay. Marched here yesterday morning relieving 30th Vol. Inf. Col. Gardever. The 3d batt’n is on right of line from Pasay to Manila Bay – ours, the 1st, is to left of Pasay at Culiculi on road to S. Pedro Macati. Have excellent camp & believe our men will rapidly recuperate. The tention at Calamba was not noticed while there but the relief on getting here is marked.
