The 8th day of said month we set sail away from said point, to the North-South with Monte Vidi, 27 leagues from it. This coast runs North-South (the width of the La Plata River are these 27 leagues). From here, we followed the coast around Cape St. Polonia, then followed the coast Northeast Southwest. Said cape is at 37o, and the land is sandy and very low, and two leagues from land along the coast, it has a depth of 8, 9 and 10 fathoms, and thus we travelled the entire day to the Southwest, and the night and the day.
