This is a beautiful Sunday morning and not too warm. Companies H, K, D and E are ordered on outpost. We had services at headquarters in the morning and in the afternoon our cooks tried to bake their first biscuits which were as hard as bombshells but mighty nice to eat. We didn’t hear any firing all day. Everything remained quiet. No sick except Sergeant [Samuel] Hagan.
