Nice breeze today. Went with the “4” to serenade Montana’s officers. We were invited in and treated to the best in the land. Then went to 6th U.S. Art. where the boys went wild and we could hardly get away. Back at taps. Many grumblings of war. Sergt. Witherspoon fired on a “sneaker” at blockhouse 11 last night. 2 Co’s of Idaho relief were out in 15 min. Great excitement.
