Supervising Overseer Larrabaster arrived later in the morning and I have him instructions on the handling of the affairs of the Norala district. I advised him to take measures to precent possible Moro lawlessness within the district. I told him to get in touch with all the Moro Datus around the district and warn the latter than any depredations committed by their people would be severely dealt with.

I also sent for all the tenientes del barrio and advised them about the recent turn of events. I gave them instructions on the evacuation of their families and warned them as much against Moro depredations against the Japanese. I told them to adopt a ronda system in their respective communities to do night patrol duties for the purpose of foiling attempts at Moro lawlessness.
