February 11, 1943

This morning the girl that I gave the dress to brought me some eggs and chickens.

The day has been quiet and no news of the Japanese. I have heard that the Filipino colonel in charge of the guerillos (Col. Peralta) has issued orders to discontinue fighting. The soldiers are now hiding in the mountains – we do not know what will be the next move of the enemy.

Our rummage sale is still going on and sales have been brisk.
