We had a three-day conference of private schools, where problems relating to the teaching of Nippongo, Tagalog, the basic principles of the New Order and other similarly interesting matters were discussed. School directors were apathetic and inhibited. The Director General gave a banquet and talked to us about independence, which according to him was at our door.
