The Japanese directed that a list be prepared of all service personnel who were on duty at Fort Santiago or Fort McKinley prior to the war be submitted. Upon submission of this list, the Japanese called all these officers and men to the front office for questioning the evacuation plans of both these activities and also as to whether or not they knew of a certain medical officer at those places prior to the war.
