I slept well last night, in fact, I did not awaken until the sun was shining in my room. My cough is subsiding and I feel better. The day has been quiet with only a few Japanese planes flying past.

Coné goes to Iloilo to take care of his patients between raids. Prices of food continue to soar. A medium-size squash costs 100 Pesos. A can of salmon which I bought for 75 Pesos several days ago now costs 100 Pesos. Rice is now 3,000 Pesos a sack.

Medicines are scarce, and one tablet of Sulphathiazole costs 120 Pesos.
