This morning at 6:00 a.m. we heard shooting at a distance and since it seemed to be getting closer, we arose and got dressed. The shooting remained at the river so we decided to have our breakfast.
At about 10:30 a.m. two American planes flew over and dropped leaflets. None fell in the city. A few minutes later, six more American planes circled over us and flew towards the sea.
Dolly and Junior are up and walking about. The medicines we bought for Dolly were very expensive. One ampule of glucose cost 800 Pesos. The normal price for it before the war was 5 Pesos (50 cc.)
