We now have pleasant weather, more steady and therefore less sickness according to the reports. We are going through our regular routine of duty with eight men on guard and three on outpost. Although many rumors are afloat, everything is quiet on the line but a close watch is kept constantly. Most of the regiments are increasing their outposts. Also, batteries are moving some of their guns on the lines. There are only nine on the sick list now. No report from the small pox cases in.
