Left Manila this morning, and I really felt as if I were leaving home again. I have got so much attached here that I felt really gloomy. Our friends left us about nine o’clock, and I certainly have not felt so dull this three months. No wind, and we were beating about in the Bay all day, and at anchor all night. I never left any place but my home with so much regret, and shall always remember my visit to Manila with great pleasure.
