Hdars Co K. F. I and G. “A” and “E” are assigned to garrison Candaba, so here ends our long campaign in which we had so many hardships to endure such as hunger, exposure to the elements and fatigue. We traversed over 200 miles in 36 days through an unknown and hostile country, part of the time flooded, crossing swollen rivers etc. We were not allowed to sleep in the deserted houses at night for fear of disease.
