H²O still on the rise, and now all old battlefields close by are deep under a covering of rushing H²O. Went to Pasig in canoes for rations, got very few, as they, too, are out of supply. Our church stands upon a very small island in the lagoon, fully three miles from the highlands. Many pobres are dying in St. Anne [Santa Ana] from starvation. Boats are paddling all through the calles and up to our very doors. Still rains.
